You don’t have to be a professional chef to know that cooking can take its toll on your hands. With all that prepping and washing, cracked dry hands seem to come with the territory, however we’ve come up with a solution!

We have produced our fair trade certified Cook’s Balm with highly nourishing properties at its heart, for that quick moisturising fix. Through a combination of carefully chosen mixture of natural oils, our cook's balm is focused on replenishing the skin and bringing it back to life. 

Apricot Kernel oil is excellent for the skin. It percolates deep into the skin, as it is full of Vitamin A, and provides long-lasting moisture. It also contains high levels of vitamins C and E, which work together in this balm to help nourish your skin and lower the appearance of fine lines, which can be a common side effect of dry hands.

Grapeseed oil is an absolute must for that highly nourishing impact all dry hands crave. It is rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids, which are essential for the upkeep of healthy skin. It also possesses restorative qualities, making it the perfect choice for controlling the re-hydration of your skin. 

Shea butter is highly emollient, meaning it can soak through the skin easily and create a moisture sealing barrier, therefore keeping your hands softer for longer. 

Both of these ingredients contain linoleic acid (also known as Omega-6) which is highly beneficial for the treatment of dry skin, as it carries anti-inflammatory properties and naturally boosts skin hydration.

The other ingredients used include Beeswax, which plays a great role in locking in hydration, May Chang oil which offers a refreshing lemony aroma and helps to remove excess oil in the skin; Peppermint oil, which cleanses the skin; Lime Essential oil, which aids in keeping your skin firm; and Grapefruit Seed Extract, which is high in antioxidants, helping to keep your skins health at its finest.
