Ceramic
These are made by a Fair Trade group of about 60 artisans in South India, drawn from local villages. Every step of the process is done by hand, from when the raw clay is softened, formed on the potters’ wheel, fired in the wood burning kilns, glazed and finally packed.
The year round employment allows the artisans to enjoy a good quality of life in the rural surroundings.
The unit supports a school of 350 pupils.
