Purity Body Butter

This body butter is combined using our simplest blend of ingredients, without any of the added scents, to really bring it back to the basics. Due to this, this body butter is extra gentle on the skin, with no possible irritants.

Our fairtrade certified Purity Body butter is made using raw pure ingredients, and making up the base of it is Shea Butter. Shea butter carries various protecting, moisturising and regenerating qualities, which is great news for our skin. It contains a high level of Vitamin A and E, which in turn means a high volume of Fatty Acids, which are the most perfect natural moisturiser. Due to its emollient nature it can be easily absorbed into the skin and penetrates through the layers to offer a deep moisturising treatment, therefore leaving the skin on the surface silky soft. It also carries Anti-inflammatory properties which is a great sign for skin that may be prone to redness or inflammation, as it can help to ease these effects. 

We also use Apricot Kernel Oil, a neutral scented light oil that absorbs well into the skin, without leaving a greasy residue. It is suitable for use on all skin types, so we have every member of the family covered. It consists of mainly oleic and linoleic acids, which are both unsaturated fats that are known to have great benefits for skin. Linoleic acid provides moisture, which easily and quickly absorbs into the skin, due to its similarity to the natural sebum that our skin creates itself, while Oleic acid works hard to maintain the suppleness and radiance of our skin, therefore they are the perfect skincare duo. 

Shea butter plays a key role in all of our body butters, as it is a naturally occurring emollient.   This means that it can soak through the skin easily and create a moisture sealing barrier, therefore keeping your skin softer for longer. 

Other ingredients include Grapeseed oil, which also offers a boost from its linoleic acid content; Corn Starch, which acts as a thickener to create the smooth buttery texture; and Grapefruit seed extract, to help add a further softness and suppleness to your skin.
