🧵 From Sari to Statement: Discover Our New Patola Kantha Throws
Share
We’re really excited to introduce our latest collection of Kantha patchwork throws, handmade from recycled saris and inspired by traditional Patola prints.
Each throw is stitched by hand using the kantha technique — a simple, running embroidery stitch that’s been used by women in India for generations. The fabrics come from pre-loved saris, carefully chosen and layered to create bold patchworks full of colour, texture, and character.
Because they're made from recycled fabrics, every throw is completely unique. Some feature bright florals, others have geometric or paisley prints. Many have little signs of their past life — a tiny mend, a faded section, a line of stitching — which we think just adds to their charm.
Ideas for styling
These throws are so versatile. You can:
-
Drape one over the back of a sofa to add a splash of colour
-
Fold it at the foot of your bed for a layered look
-
Use it as a picnic blanket or a cosy wrap in the garden
-
Even hang it on the wall as a textile artwork
They also make lovely, thoughtful gifts — especially for anyone who loves textiles, colour, or bohemian-style interiors.
Why we love them
We love these throws not just for how they look, but for what they represent. They’re sustainable, made with care, and support skilled artisan work in India.
Thanks to their small-batch nature, we only have a limited number available — so if you see one you love, don’t wait too long!
